ABOUT THE COURSE:
EWIS online training course provides participants with an overview of the development of enhanced aircraft EWIS maintenance and the participants will also learn about the technical aspects of typical EWIS installations, supporting inspection techniques.
Topics covered are as follows:
- General electrical wiring interconnection system practices
- Wiring practices documentation
- Inspection
- Connective devices
- Connective device repair
OBJECTIVES:
Aviation online training course is designed to promote the use of proper procedures, methods, techniques, and practices when performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, modification of EWIS.
The trainee should, after the completion of the training:
Be able to understand the safe handling of aircraft electrical systems, Line Replaceable Units (LRU), tooling, troubleshooting procedures.
Know the construction and navigation of the applicable aircraft wiring system overhaul or wiring practices manual.
Know the different types of inspections, human factors in inspections, zonal areas, and typical damages.
Be able to identify the contamination sources, materials, cleaning, and protection procedures.
Be able to know the correct identification of different wire types, their inspection criteria, and damage tolerance, repair, and preventative maintenance procedures.
Know the procedures to identify, inspect and find the correct repair for typical types of connective devices found on the applicable aircraft.
Be able to understand the procedures for the replacement of all parts of typical types of connective devices found on the applicable aircraft.

Qualified staff performing other engineering or planning work on aircraft
Other service staff with duties in proximity to EWIS;
EXAMINATION
During the EWIS online training course, interactive questions are asked, seeking that student better understand the course material.
No Examination will be held.
COMPLETION
Upon successful completion of the Electrical Wiring Interconnect System(aviation) online training course (100%), participants will receive an online training certificate issued by Part-147 approved Engineering Training Organization (ETO).
